The Sleepy App is a free mobile application that provides sleep analysis based on overnight heart rate data collected from users. By using The Sleepy App (the "App") and visiting our website at https://thesleepyapp.com (the "Website"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions, including our Privacy Policy detailed below.

We may introduce a minimal subscription fee in the future. Users will be notified, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

1. Data Collection and Use

The App collects the following data:

• Required: Email address (used for login and notifications), overnight heart rate data (interbeat intervals)
• Optional: Year of birth, name (for display)

Technical data logged by the server includes:

• IP address
• Device type and OS
• User agent
• Session timestamps and duration

This data is used only to provide sleep analysis, ensure service functionality, and contact users (if requested). We do not sell or share data with third parties.

2. Data Storage and Infrastructure

• User data is stored on Backblaze servers (USA)
• App backend hosted on AWS (London, UK)
• All sensitive data is encrypted during transmission and storage

3. Use of Personal Data

Your data is used for the following purposes:

• Delivering personalized sleep insights
• Sending account-related notifications
• Displaying your name (if provided)
• Sending newsletters, if opted in

Biometric data is never shared, sold, or used for research or marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics to improve usability. This may include collection of:

• Click behavior and referring sites

This data is anonymized and used only to enhance app and website performance.
